Designed by legendary architect Jerome Markson for the current owners, this unique modernist country home offers unmatched privacy in a secluded setting.

The long winding driveway leads to the wood home nestled on 48 acres surrounded by a variety of natural features including open meadows, woodlands, a dramatic ridge and a pond. Whimsical bird feeders and a wonderful country garden attract numerous beautiful birds to enjoy.

This home was featured in The Globe and Mail as an example of the designs synonymous with the name of Jerome Markson.  Modern in design, yet functional.

The owners collaborated with Markson to create a one of a kind retreat.  Windows salvaged from a 1920's cinema on Parliament Street and some from a demolished church on the St Lawrence River were used to create a stunning focal point to enjoy the view of the natural beauty outside the home.

The homes eat in kitchen which has room for a large harvest table leads to the charming screened in porch.  The family room features a fireplace and a wall of windows to blend seamlessly with the outdoors. 

 Wood angled ceilings through-out the house adds dramatic flair.  The master bedroom and en suite are tucked upstairs with a private wood deck overlooking the woods.  Two more bedrooms, a sauna, and cozy garden deck are ideal for entertaining guests or family.
